About Me

Jane linley-thomas heart

I am a self proclaimed child of the Universe who loves nothing more then spending time with my bestie our 3 kids (a 5 year old and a set of twins just over three) our friends and family.

I love loving people and have a soft spot for whiskey, live music, hidden treasure, coffee, wine, ink, gangsta rap, shopping incense and sushi. Things that freak me out are chipped nailpolish, gecko’s, wooden chopping boards and coriander.

One of my passions is playing on the radio daily Monday-Friday 12-3pm on East Coast Radio.

Since becoming a Mom my past life of 4am bedtime after a thrashing party has come to a grinding holt. Ringing ears and tequila drenched cheeks seem like a lifetime ago. Now its early to bed and even earlier to rise. Every day is a new and colourful adventure, a sacred circus really.

I look so forward to sharing this space with you welcome to the world according to me.

Heartshine always–

  • Velveteen Confectioneries

This past weekend we celebrated the twin bears sweet and scared little lives with a party at home. Of course the discussion of what cakes they wanted was a serious yet animated conversation. Lula very swiftly announced she would love a princess cake and Rocco swayed but finally requested a Raphael ninja turtle cake. Sharon from Velveteen Confectioneries took one look at a picture reference and produced these magnificent masterpieces. Thank you for making their little hearts sing.

  • Blue Strawberry

Its no secret that when it comes to cooking, baking and catering I am not the one for the job. Every celebration that I host at home is beautifully catered for by Blue Strawberry. Their food is fresh, scrumptious and beautifully presented. It’s a running joke that people only come to our parties for the food.

Recently we celebrated Coopers 6th birthday and I ordered a mix of snacks for the parents, from mini wraps crammed with roasted veg, hummus and feta, chicken and haloumi spring rolls, prawn cakes, samosas, mini quiches, and little rolls crammed with cream cheese and beef.…you are salivating right now hey!? Me too! On their website you will find a selection of different menus to choose from.
